Given -

(x-1) is a factor of kx²-2x+1

To find -

The value of k

Solution -

x-1 is a factor of kx²-2x+1

x-1=0

x=1

p(x)=kx²-2x+1

p(1)=k(1)²-2(1)+1

p(1)=k×1-2+1

p(1)=k-2+1

p(1)=k-1

Since (x-1) is a factor of kx²-2x+1

Therefore remainder is 0

k-1=0

k=1

Therefore the value of k is 1
