Step-by-step explanation:

Given : If (x-1)  is a factor of polynomial 2x-2a .

To find : The value of a

  • Calculation for 'a'

If  (x-1)  is a factor of polynomial 2x-2a  then by substitution of x=1 we should get the zero such that,

2x-2a=0

by putting the value of x as 1,

2*1-2a=0

2-2a=0

taking 2a to other side,

2a=2

a=\frac{2}{2}

a=1

Hence we get the value of a is 1.
