p(x) = 2x² + kx

Factor of p(x) = x + 1

So,

One of the two Zeroes of p(x) = -1

p(-1) = 0

==> 2(-1)² + k(-1) = 0

==> 2 - k = 0

==> -k = -2

==> k = 2

Value of k = 2
