SOLUTION:-

Answer

• k= 2

Given

• x+1 is a factor of p(x)

To find

• value of k

Explanation

• p(x) = 2x² +kx

• g(x) = x+1

= x+1=0

x=-1

Putting x= -1 in p(x)

p(x) = 2x²+kx =0

==> 2×(-1)²+k×(-1)=0

==> 2×1-k=0

==> 2-k=0

==> k= 2

So , the value of k is 2

Option b is correct ✔
