Answer:

by factor theorem,

1³+3(1²)-2(1)-k=0

1+3-2-k=0

k=2

if x-1 is a factor of

x³+3x²-2x-k

then, value of k=?

Putting x-1=0
x=1

Now

p(x)=x³+3x²-2x-k

p(1)=1³+3(1)²-2(1)-k=0

1+3-2-k=0

4-2-k=0

2-k=0

-k=-2

{\bf{\blue{k=2}}}
