Given Expression :-

x² + 2x + k.

And, Its Factor = x - 1.

To Find :-

The Value Of k.

How To Solve?

First, We will take out the value of x and then we will put in the expression.

Solution :-

x - 1 = 0.

So, We Can Say,

x = 1.

Now, Put the Value Of x in the Given Expression.

(1)² + 2(1) + k = 0.

1 + 2 + k = 0.

3 + k = 0.

k = -3.

Hence, The Value Of k = -3.
