Answer:

Let assume that x+ 1 is a factor

so x= (-1) has to be to zero of the polynomial

putting value of x= (-1) in the polynomial

x³+2x²-5x-6

(-1)^3+2(-1)^2 -5(-1)-6

-1 + 2 +5 -6

7- 6-1

7-7

0

hence it is the factor of the polynomial

Note - it a+ b is the factor of polynomial than a= (-b) is the zero of the polynomial

Answer:

-10....

Step-by-step explanation:

(X+1)= 0

X=-1

p(X)= x³+2x²-5x-6

p(-1)=(-1)³+2(-1)²-5(-1)-6

= -1+2-5-6

= -7-3

= -10
