If x = 1½ is a solution of the equation 2x² + P x – 6 = 0 , then the value of P is : ?​

we know by putting the value of x In the equation we will get 0

so →

1½ = 3/2

=> 2(3/2)² + 3P/2 - 6 = 0

=> 18/4 + 3P/2 -6 = 0

=> (18+6P-24)/2 = 0

=> 6P-6 = 0

=> 6P = 6

=> P = 1
