Polynomial :- x³ – 2x² + 4x + k = 0.

Zero Of Polynomial :- x = 1.

Solution :-

If x = 1, then put its value in the given expression.

⇒ (1)³ – 2(1)² + 4(1) + k = 0.

⇒ 1 – 2 + 4 + k = 0.

⇒ –1 + 4 + k = 0

⇒ –3 = k.

Hence, The Value Of k = 3.

Verification :-

⇒ (1)³ – 2(1)² + 4(1) + (–3) =0.

⇒ 1 – 2 + 4 + (–3) = 0.

⇒ 3 – 3 = 0.

⇒ 0 = 0.

LHS = RHS.

Hence, Verified.
