=>X+1=0
=> X= -1

P(X)=mx^3+x^2-2x+4m-9
=> m(-1)^3+(-1)^2 -2(-1)+4m-9
=>-m +1+2+4m-9
=>-m+4m+3-9
=>3m-6

Hence, It is not a factor.

Hey

Here is your answer,

X+1 = 0
X = -1

Therefore p(x) = -1

Substitute the value of x in place of x,

p (x) = mx^3 + x^2 - 2x + 4m - 9
p(-1) = (-1)^3m + (-1)^2 - 2(-1) + 4m - 9
= -m + 1 + 2 + 4m - 9
= 3m -6
3m - 6 = 0
3m = 6
m = 6/3
m = 2

Hope it helps you!
