If (x+1) is the H.C.F of (ax²+bx+c) and (bx²+ax+c), then value of c is?

(A)= -1
(B)= 1
(C)= 0
(D)= a-b​

Answer:

x + 1 is hcf

it means x + 1 divides both the poynomials p(x) and q(x)

so remainder is 0.

so p(-1) = 0

a- b + c = 0

c = b - a........(1)

q(-1) = 0

b - a + c = 0

c + c = 0 .......(using 1)

2c = 0

c = 0.
