 {x}^{2} + \frac{1}{ {x}^{2} } =  {(x +  \frac{1}{x} )}^{2} - 2

 {x}^{2} +  \frac{1}{ {x}^{2} } = 121 - 2

 {x}^{2} +  \frac{1}{ {x }^{2} } = 119
