If(x + 1/x) = 3, find
3, find the value of x^2+1/x^2

x+1/x = 3

x+1=3x

1 = 3x-x

1=2x

x=1/2

therefore x = 1/2

1/2^2+1/1/2^2

2+1/2

3/2
