If x-1/x = √5 then find the value of x²+1/x²? with the working

x-1/x = √5
Square both sides
(x-1/x )²=( √5)²
Since (a-b)²= a²+b²-2ab
X² +1/x² -2 = 5

X² +1/x² =5+2=7
