SQUARING ON BOTH SIDE'S WE HAVE

( x + 1/x )² = (6)²

x² + 1/x² + 2(x)(1/x) = 36

Becoz ( a + b )² = a² + b² + 2ab

x² + 1/x² + 2 = 36

x² + 1/x² = 36 - 2

x² + 1/x² = 34

x² + 1/x² = 34

SQUARING ON BOTH SIDE'S WE HAVE

( x² + 1/x² )² = (34)²

x⁴ + 1/x⁴ + 2 = 1156
