if x= 1, y=a is a solution of the equation x+3y=10 , then find value of a​

x+3y=10

1+3a=10

3a=10-1

3a=9

a=9÷3

a=3

Here, x=1, y =a

putting values in equation

x + 3y = 10

1 + 3 × a = 10

3a = 10 - 1

3a = 9

a =  \frac{9}{3}

a = 3

The value of a is 3
