x - y = -118.

Given: x = (-10) + (-10) + (-10) + ......  ( 15 times)

           y = (-2) × (-2) × (-2) × (-2) × (-2)

To find: x-y = ?

Solution:

We have,

        x = (-10) + (-10) + (-10) + ......  ( 15 times)

⇒     x = (-10) × 15

⇒     x = -150

And also,

        y = (-2) × (-2) × (-2) × (-2) × (-2)

⇒     y = (-2)^{5}

⇒     y = -32

Now,

         x - y = -150 - (-32)

                 = -150 + 32

                 = -118

∴ x - y = -118
