If x,12,y27 are in continued proportion then find the value of x and y

As they r in continued proportion

Then

x/12=12/y=y/27

12/y=y/27

=y2=12∗27

=y2=324

=y=18

Then

x/12=12/y=xy=144

As they are in continued proportion

Then

x/12=12/y=y/27

12/y=y/27

=y2=12∗27

=y2=324

=y=18

Then

x/12=12/y

=xy=144

By putting value of

y

x∗18=144

=x=144/18

=x=8 putting value of y

x∗18=144=x=144/18

=x=8
