If x/2 - 1= x/3 +4, then x=?

Answer: 30

Hiii...

First we solve LHS

x/2 - 1

x/2 - 2/2       LCM

x-2/2

Now RHS

x/3 + 4

x/3 + 12/3    LCM

x+12/3

Now we combine

x-2/2 = x+12/3

Now we use Cross-Multiplication Method

3 (x - 2) = 2 (x + 12)

3x - 6 = 2x + 24

3x - 2x = 24 + 6

x = 30

x = 30
