if x=-2/3 and y=1/4 , find (x+y)and (x-y)

x+y=-5/12
x-y=-11/12

x+y = -2/3 + 1/4 = 
           (-8+3)/12 = -5/12 (by taking LCM)
x-y = -2/3-1/4 =
           (-8-3/12) = -11/12
