x=2-√3

Then,

 {x}^{2}  =  {(2 -  \sqrt{3})}^{2}

 {x}^{2}  = 4 + 3 - 2(2)(  \sqrt{3} )

 {x}^{2}  = 7 - 4 \sqrt{3}
