x=2+√3
1/x=1/(2+√3)
=1*(2-√3)/(2+√3)*(2-√3)
=2-√3/(2)^2-(√3)^2
=2-√3/(4-3)
=2-√3/1
=2-√3
x+1/x=2+√3+2-√3
=4
