we have X=2+√3
so 1/X =2-√3
now,
x-1/X = 2+√3-(2-√3)
=2+√3-2+√3
=2√3
=2×1.732
=3.46
hence (C) is correct
so 1/X =2-√3
now,
x-1/X = 2+√3-(2-√3)
=2+√3-2+√3
=2√3
=2×1.732
=3.46
hence (C) is correct

When we put the value of X in 1/x it wil be 1/(2+√3). and after rationalising your answer will be 2-√3
