Given , That,

(x + 2 \: ,4) = (5 , y - 2)

When it is given that two points are equal , then

it means that those two points overlap each other and they are similar.

Mathametically :

Their x and y co-ordinates will also be same.

Now, Following the same condition here,

(x + 2 \: ,4) = (5 , y - 2)

(x \ +  2) = 5 \: and \: (y - 2) = 4

Now , taking each equation seperately we get,

(x + 2) = 5

x = 5 - 2

x = 3

similarly,

y - 2 = 4

y = 4 + 2

y = 6

Now by solving equations we got that,

x = 3 and y = 6

It is asked to find the co-ordinates of (x,y)

where we got the values as 3 and 6 respectively.

Therefore, the required co-ordinates

(x , y) = (3 , 6)
