X = 2a+1 ,and Y= a-1 is solution of the equation so these X and Y will satisfy the equation.
So putting them into equation we get
=> 2* (2a+1) - 3* (a-1) +5 =0
=> 4a + 2 -3a + 3 +5 =0
=> a + 10 =0
=> a = -10
So putting them into equation we get
=> 2* (2a+1) - 3* (a-1) +5 =0
=> 4a + 2 -3a + 3 +5 =0
=> a + 10 =0
=> a = -10
