Answer:

Question :

If x = 2 and y = 1 ,

Find the value of (-4x²y³ ) × -5x²y5

Solution :

\longrightarrow\sf{( - 4 {x}^{2}  {y}^{3} )  \times - 5{x}^{2} {y}^{2}}

Putting x = 2, y = 1

{\longrightarrow{\sf{( - 4 {(2)}^{2}  {(1)}^{3})  \times ( - 5{(2)}^{2} {(1)}^{2} )}}}

{\longrightarrow{\sf{( - 4 {(2 \times 2)}  {(1 \times 1 \times 1)})  \times (- 5{(2 \times 2)} {(1 \times 1))}}}}

{\longrightarrow{\sf{( - 4 {(4)}  {(1)})  \times (- 5{(4)} {(1))}}}}

{\longrightarrow{\sf{( - 4 \times  4 \times 1)\times( - 5 \times 4 \times 1)}}}

{\longrightarrow{\sf{( - 16)\times( - 20)}}}

{\longrightarrow{\sf{ - 16  \times  - 20}}}

{\longrightarrow{\sf{ \cancel{ - }16  \times   \cancel{-} 20}}}

{\longrightarrow{\sf{16 \times 20}}}

{\longrightarrow{\sf{320}}}

{\longrightarrow{\underline{\boxed{\sf{\red{320}}}}}}

∴ The answer is 320.

☼ BODMAS :

↝ BODMAS rule is an acronym used to remember the order of operations to be followed while solving expressions in mathematics.

It stands for :-

  • ↠ B - Brackets,
  • ↠ O - Order of powers or roots,
  • ↠ D - Division,
  • ↠ M - Multiplication
  • ↠ A - Addition
  • ↠ S - Subtraction.

↝ It means that expressions having multiple operators need to be simplified from left to right in this order only.

☼ BODMAS RULE :

↝ First, we solve brackets, then powers or roots, then division or multiplication (whatever comes first from the left side of the expression), and then at last subtraction or addition.

  • ↠ Addition (+)
  • ↠ Subtraction (-)
  • ↠ Multiplication (×)
  • ↠ Division (÷)
  • ↠ Brackets ( )

☼ EXPONENT :

↝ The exponent of a number says how many times to use the number in a multiplication.

☼ LAW OF EXPONENT :

The important laws of exponents are given below:

  • ↠ {\rm{{a}^{m} \times {a}^{n} = {a}^{m + n}}}
  • ↠ {\rm{{a}^{m}/{a}^{n} = {a}^{m - n}}}
  • ↠ {\rm{({a}^{m})^{n} = {a}^{mn}}}
  • ↠ {\rm{{a}^{n}/{b}^{n} = ({a/b})^{n} }}
  • ↠ {\rm{{a}^{0} = 1}}
  • ↠ {\rm{{a}^{ - m} = {1/a}^{m}}}
  • ↠ {\rm{{a}^{\frac{1}{n} } = \sqrt[n]{a}}}

Given:-

  • X=2 & Y=1

To Find:-

  • Value of (-4x²y³ ) × (-5x²y5)

Solution:-

➬(-4x²y³)×(-5x²y5)

➬(-4×4)×(-5×4×5)

➬(-16)×(-100)

➬1600

∴Hence 1600 is the Correct Answer!

Extended Shot:-

  • (-)×(-)=(+)
  • (-)×(+)=(-)
  • (+)×(+)=(+)
  • (+)×(-)=(-)

Bodmas:-

B=Bracket

O=Off(Multiplication)

D=Division

M=Multiplication

A=Addition

S=Substraction
