given (x-2) is a Root of

the equation 2x^2 -5x +p =0..(1)

x-2 = 0

x = 2...

substitute it in (1)

2x^2 -5x +p = 0

2(2)^2 -5(2) +p =0

2(4) -10 +p =0

8-10+p = 0

-2 + p = 0

p = 2..

Equation is 2x^2 -5x +2=0
