let x-2 =0
x=2
first polynomial
p(x) = x³-4x²+ax+b
p(2) = 8-16+2a+b
= 2a+b =8 eq1
another polynomial
p(x) = x³-ax²-b-10
p(2) = 8-4a-b-10
= -2 =4a+b eq2
by elimination (sub both eq)
4a+b=(-2)
2a+b=8
2a =(-10)
a=(-5)
put in eq1
-10 +b =8
b= 18
hope answer is correct
