on dividing p(x) = 2x⁴+ 3x³+2kx²+3x +6

with g(x)

p(-2) = 2(-2)⁴ +3(-2)³ +2k(-2) +3(-2) + 6

= 32 - 24 -4k -6 +6

= 8 - 4k = 0

k = 2
