x - 2= 0

x     = 0 + 2

x     = 2

p(x) = 2x³-x²-px-2

p(2) = 2(2)³ - (2)² - 2p - 2

      = 2*8 - 4 - 2p -2

      = 16 - 6 -2p = 0

      = 10 - 2p = 0

      = -2p       = 0 - 10

      = p           = -10/-2

      = p           = 5

p = 5
