\huge{\mathbb{\blue{ANSWER}}}

GIVEN:-

  • (x+2) is a factor of  3x^2+px^2+px-1

TO FIND:-

  • The value of P

Now,

 x+2=0

 x=-2

Put the value of x in given p(x).

p(-2)=3(-2)^2+p(-2)^2+p(-2)-1=0

 12+4p-2p-1=0

 11+2p=0

 2p=-11

p=\huge\frac{-11}{2}

Hence,

The value of p is\huge\frac{-11}{2}.

\textbf{EXTRA\:INFORMATION}

 (a+b)^2=a^2+2ab+b^2

(a-b)^2=a^2-2ab+b^2

 a^3+b^3=(a+b) (a^2-ab+b^2)
