Answer: k = 1

Step-by-step explanation: converting a factor into a zero  of a polynomial

x - 2 => Factor

x-2 =0

x= 2 => Zero

p(x) = 5x^2 -kx- 18

substituting x = 2 in the polynomial so,

p(2) = 5(2)^2 - k(2) -  18

      = 20 -k(2) - 18

        -k(2)+ 2 =  0

         -2k = -2

             k = 1
