 \bold{Given:}

It is a factor of the given equation,

 x-2=0

 x=2

 \rule{300}{5}

Since it is a factor of the given equation it will satisfy the given equation and will leave remainder as 0

 \large\pink{Substituting\: the\: value}

 2(2)+k(2)-15=0

 2k -11 =0

 k = \Large\frac{11}{2}

Hope it helps úh

x-2 =0

x=2

2x+kx-15=0

=>2×2+k×2-15=0

=>4+2k-15 =0

=> -11+2k=0

=> 2k= 11

=>k= 11

- --------

2

=> k= 5.5
