Answer: q = -7 and p = -5

Step-by-step explanation: x +2 is factor of the polynomial, so x + 2= 0 and x = -2 So p(-2) = 0

Therefore we substitute x in the polynomial with -2, since x =-2

this gives us 4 - 2p + 2q= 0

it's given that p + 9 = 4, so p = -5

substituting that in the equation we get, 4 + 10 +2q = 0 therfore 2q = -14

which implies that q = -7
