if x-2 is the factor of given polynomial then remander = 0

so finding the remainder
p(x) = x {}^{3}  - 2ax {}^{2}  + ax - 8 \\ x - 2 = 0 \\ x = 2 \\ putting \: x = 2 \\ p(2) = 8 - 8a + 2a - 8 \\ p(2) =  - 6a \\  - 6a = 0 \\ a = 0

Hey dear friend

If x-2 is a factor of eq.(x³-2ax²+ax-8)

Substituting x =2 in eq.
we get

=>2³-2a2²+2a-8=0
=>8-8a+2a-8=0
=>-6a=0
=>a=0

perfectly fine pure correct answer
