let f(x)=x²-3ax+3a-7
given (x-2) is a factor of(1) so f(2)=0
substitute x=2 in (1)
we get 2²-3a(2)+3a-7=0
4-6a+3a-7=0
3a=4-7
a=-3/3
a=-1.
