x = 2
f(x) = 2x² -3x +7a

f(2) = 2(2)² -3(2) + 7a
8 -6 +7a =0
=> 2 +7a = 0
=> a = -2/7


your polynomial become. 2x² - 3x +7× -2/7
2x² -3x -2
