if x=-2 is a root of the polynomial f(x) = x^3+6x^2+4x+k ,find the value k

If x = 2,

then, (-2)³+6(-2)²+4(-2)+k = 0

-8+6(4)-8+k = 0

-8+24-8+k = 0

-16+24+k = 0

8+k = 0

k=-8

Therefore, the values of k = -8
