Solution

x = 2 is a zero of the polynomial 2x² + 3x - 8p

  • value of p = ?

substituting value of p in polynomial 2x² + 3x -8p

=> 2(2)² + 3 × 2 - 8p

=> 2 × 4 + 6 - 8p

=> 8 + 6 - 8p

=> 14 - 8p

=> -8p = -14

=> p = -14/-8

=> p = 7/4
