Hey !!

if one zero of the polinomial is 2 then

p(x) = 2x² + 3x - p =0

p(2) = 2×2² + 3×2 - p =0

p(2) = 8 + 6 - p = 0

-p = -14

p = 14 Answer

The value of p = 14

Given :

x = 2 is a zero of the polynomial 2x² + 3x - p

To find :

The value of p

Solution :

Step 1 of 2 :

Write down the given polynomial

Let p(x) be the given polynomial

Then p(x) = 2x² + 3x - p

Step 2 of 2 :

Find the value of p

Since x = 2 is a zero of the polynomial p(x) = 2x² + 3x - p

So we have

p(2) = 0

⇒ 2 × 2² + 3 × 2 - p = 0

⇒ 8 + 6 - p = 0

⇒ 14 - p = 0

⇒ p = 14

Hence the required value of p = 14
