1/x = (2 - √3)/(4 - 3)

[ (a - b)(a + b) = (a² - b²) ]

1/x = (2 - √3)  

x + 1/x = (2 + √3) + (2 - √3)

x + 1/x = 2 + 2 + √3 - √3

x + 1/x = 4
