x^2=(2+root3)^2
=4+3+4root3
=7+4root3
1/x^2=1/7+4root3 ×7-4root3/7-4root3
=7-4root3/49-48
=7-4root3
so x^2+1/x^2
=7+4root3+7-4root3
=7+7=14
=4+3+4root3
=7+4root3
1/x^2=1/7+4root3 ×7-4root3/7-4root3
=7-4root3/49-48
=7-4root3
so x^2+1/x^2
=7+4root3+7-4root3
=7+7=14
