x²+1/x²

= (2+√3)²+1/(2+√3)²

= (2)²+(√3)²+2(2)(√3)+1/(2)²+(√3)²+2(2)(√3)

= 4+3+4√3+1/4+3+4√3

= 7+4√3+1/7+4√3

= (7+4√3)²+1/7+4√3

= 49+48+8√3+1/7+√3

= 98+8√3/7+√3
