Answer:

✓ x = 30

Step-by-step explanation:

Question :-

x/2 - x/3 = 5 , then x = ?

________________

Answer :-

Take LCM of 2 and 3 ie :- 2 × 3 = 6

Now , make the LCM 6

x/2 × 3/3 = 3x/6

x/3 × 2/2 = 2x/6

Now , we have ,

3x / 6 - 2x /6 = 5

(3x - 2x)/6 = 5

x/6 = 5

By cross Multiply

x = 5 × 6

x = 30

Check :-

Put x = 30

LHS = x/2 - x/3 and RHS = 5

So, we get

30/2 - 30/3

LCM = 6

(90 - 60)/6

30/6 = 5 = RHS

✓So, our answer is x = 30
