Given,

(x+2)(x-5) = x²+ (a+b)x + ab

Solution,

It is in the form of (x+a)(x-b)

But,we have to find (a+b)

Here,

a = 2

b = -5

∴ (a+b) = [2+(-5)] = (2-5) = -3

But (x+a)(x-b) = x²+(a-b)x-ab
