SOLUTION

TO FILL IN THE BLANK

IF X =2 ,Y=3 ,U = -2 ,V =- 3 then point. (X +Y , U + V) lies in the ____________ Quadrant.

EVALUATION

Here it is given that

X = 2 , Y = 3 , U = - 2 , V = - 3

Now ( X + Y , U + V )

= ( 2 + 3 , - 2 - 3 )

= ( 5 , - 3 )

Hence abscissa = 5 which is positive

Ordinate = - 3 which is negative

So the point lies on fourth quadrant

FINAL ANSWER

IF X =2 ,Y=3 ,U = -2 ,V =- 3 then point (X +Y , U + V) lies in the Fourth Quadrant.
