(2y + 5°) + 3x° = 180°                       (∵ LINEAR PAIR)

⇒ (2y + 5°) + 3(25°) = 180°

⇒ (2y + 5°) + 75° = 180°

⇒ (2y + 5°) = 180° - 75°

⇒ (2y + 5°) = 105°

⇒ 2y + 5° = 105°

⇒ 2y = 105° - 5°

⇒ 2y = 100°

⇒ y = 100°/2

⇒ y = 50°

Answer:

here,

x=25°

(2y+5)°+3x= 180° (Being sum of supplementry angle)

or, (2y+5)°+ 3×25° =180°

or, 2y°+ 5°+75° = 180°

or, 2y° + 80° = 180°

or, 2y = 180°-80°

or, 2y= 100°

or, y = 100°÷2

or, y = 50°

hence, y= 50°
