Putting x = 2a + 1 & y = a - 1 in following equation we get
2x - 3y + 5 = 0
= 2 ( 2a + 1 ) - 3 ( a - 1 ) + 5
= ( 4a + 2 ) - ( 3a - 3 ) + 5
= 4a + 2 - 3a + 3 + 5
= a + 10
a + 10 = 0
a = - 10
2x - 3y + 5 = 0
= 2 ( 2a + 1 ) - 3 ( a - 1 ) + 5
= ( 4a + 2 ) - ( 3a - 3 ) + 5
= 4a + 2 - 3a + 3 + 5
= a + 10
a + 10 = 0
a = - 10
