(i)

x + y - z

2a2 + 3 b2 – 5ab + b2 – 3a2 + 7 ab - (6a2 – b2 +ab)

-a2 + 4b2 + 2ab - (6a2 – b2 +ab)

-a2 + 4b2 + 2ab - 6a2 + b2 -ab

-7a2 + 5b2 + ab

(ii)

x -y + z

2a2 + 3 b2 – 5ab - (b2 – 3a2 + 7 ab) + 6a2 – b2 +ab

8a2 + 2b2 - 4ab - (b2 – 3a2 + 7 ab)

8a2 + 2b2 - 4ab - b2 + 3a2 - 7 ab

11a2 + b2 - 11 ab
