2x-2y+5=0 ,2(2k+1)-2(k-1)+5=0 ,4k+2-2k+2+5=0 ,2k+9=0,,2k=-9 ,k=-9÷2 ,k=-4.5 Hope it helps.

Given :-

x=2k+1
y=k-1

Now ,

put the value of x and y in 2x-2y+5=0

2×(2k+1) - 2×(k-1) + 5 = 0
4K + 2-2k +2+ 5 = 0
2k + 4 + 5 = 0
2k + 9 = 0
k = -9
k = -9/2
k = -4.5

the answer is ( k = -4.5 )

THANKS ☺
